Dear 145th PVI Descendant,
Our unit was founded as a living history unit, so that we can portray and remember the original members of the 145th PVI. This site was created to let everyone know about these men, and their story. As our unit grew, we expanded from a living history unit to a Civil War reenactment unit, taking part in both living histories and Civil War reenactments. This allows us to show what the original 145th was like, and tell the stories of these men.
Currently, we are looking for any information regarding an original member's life, time in the service, pictures, or any other info about them. Any contributions to this page and this site are grateful. We can either give you credit for the contribution, or leave you anonymous at your discretion. If you have something you wish to post that you have compiled yourself, let us know that too. We can also add links to your site, if you already have a site created for someone.
We thank you for your help in bringing the memories of the 145th PVI alive. If you would like to help contribute to this page, or have questions, please email us at ancestors@145thpvi.org. We will reply to your email.
Sincerely,
Lieutenant C. J. Lauer
Commanding Officer
145th PVI Company D
